Frequently Asked Questions

I am having a short wedding ceremony or elopement, do you offer a package for me?

Customized packages can always be arranged.

Do you bring an assistant to weddings?

Yes, I bring an assistant photographer to every wedding.

What is Post-Processing and why do I need it?

Today, in the digital age, a lot of the work of photography actually takes place after the shoot on the computer. Post-processing (editing) gives the photos the clean, polished look.

What makes you the right choice for my wedding?

I bring an artistic eye and stylish sensibility to my wedding photography. I put my heart into every wedding shoot no matter how short or long and want your images to be as beautiful as you do -- if not more. I love what I do and feel lucky to be doing it. I take pride in my work and am dedicated, unobtrusive, easy to get along with and fun.

How many images will I get from my shoot?

There is no limit.

Will you travel for weddings?

Yes, I am willing and would be happy to travel. If the wedding is outside the MD, DC, No VA area - a travel fee may be incurred. I am also available for destination weddings.

What types of products can I order from the Internet gallery?

Prints of all sizes, canvas prints, photo greeting cards, fine art cards, leather photo albums, collage albums, coffee table books, parent albums, and more.

If I want to book you, what happens next?

I will send you a contract to complete and sign and there is a non-refundable deposit to hold your date. Until the contract and deposit have been received, the date is still "available."

It says that you provide two-week preliminary meetings for weddings. Why?

This is to go over all of the fun wedding details and your preferences for the day. For those couples that reside in the area, we can do a walk-through of the venue or meet to discuss things such as timeline, posed portraits, editing preferences and more.

Where do portrait shoots take place?

Shoots take place at the location of your choice, your home or my studio.

If I want to shoot on location, what are some suggestions for good backgrounds?

Green lawns, wooded areas, parks, farms, gardens, historic sites, urban areas, rooftops and museums all make great settings.

What time is best for an outdoor shoot?

An outdoor shoot is best early in the morning or late in the afternoon.

How will I know what make-up and clothes to wear?
